Affiliate Graduate Research Assistant

Mikayla Falteisek 🔈 (she/her) graduated from the University of Minnesota–Duluth. She earned two degrees in Psychology and Cognitive Science with a minor in Early Childhood Studies. She is continuing her education to earn a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. Currently, her primary research interests include fostering the mind and body connection with a Somatic and Gestalt approach, yoga, Cognitive Behavioral, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies. Mikayla has completed the foundational training for trauma-centered trauma-sensitive yoga (TCTSY) and is on track to becoming certified. She is currently working as a mental health clinic admin and clinical scribe. When Mikayla is not focusing on academic work or working, she enjoys yoga, being outside, reading, and exploring the many coffee shops in the Chicago area.
